"A very cheerful and helpful welcome which is always appreciated. The Hotel was conveniently beside the A4 and easy to find. The room and bathroom were immaculately clean and comfortable with all the expected amenities. Dining in the Hungry Horse was OK but not exceptional. The availability of a Snacks/Drinks Vending Machine was also a bonus. Would highly recommend."

"The Alma is conveniently located by the train station. It’s literally steps away. It’s in a great area with dining and shops in walking distance. They have a lively pub and quaint restaurant on site. The rooms are comfortable with space to stretch out after a long travel day. "

"The pub is on a busy road but the room was set back from the road and there was no issue with the noise. Plenty of parking available. Unfortunately we stayed on a very hot night, and even with the fan provided we struggled to sleep. The room was very small and had strange plug sockets.Tea & coffee making facilities in the room were good. We chose to have dinner at the hotel and were both very pleased with our meals. "We very much enjoyed the lovely dinner on Sunday evening in the pub. Best English meal I’ve had in a long time. We didn’t care for the small gravel parking and walkways and how difficult it made dragging our luggage to and from the room. "

"Great ambience and friendly staff who are extremely helpful. Lots of good quality complimentary extras (drinks, mini bar, chocolate). Very comfortable bed. Decor unfortunately dated/tired BUT a major revamp is scheduled soon. Menu was limited but should improve now a permanent chef has been found. Would definitely return if visiting this area again."
