Nestled right in the heart of the entertainment district (if you can call it that in this laid-back village), it’s the perfect place to immerse yourself in the local culture.You’ll find yourself surrounded by an eclectic mix of local bars, restaurants, and businesses run by both welcoming locals and expats from around the globe. One of the highlights for us was being just a short 10-minute drive from the best birria tacos we’ve ever had anywhere in the world! Beef Masters Pasture-Raised Farm has a food truck that is a must-visit; their tacos are absolutely incredible.What really made this experience stand out, though, were the people. The locals welcomed us with open arms and genuine warmth, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. It’s hard to overstate how special it is to feel so embraced by a community while traveling.If you’re looking for a simple, authentic, and wonderfully located spot to stay in Hopkins, the Baby Blue Cabana is the perfect choice. "My second stay at this small family run hotel. Beautiful, relaxing ocean view. Felt really accomodated by the owner. Fridge died and got another one in right away. Would book it anytime again. "

"This place was just what we wanted. It was a great location, the host was quite helpful, the security was solid, and the price was right. There were a few extra amenities that helped (a cooler, an ice maker). Note that it is small for 4 people, but we knew this going on so was not a surprise. Our only suggestion is to replace the light bulbs with much stronger wattage as it is quite dim in the place once it gets dark outside."
