The photos & reviews tell it all. From the deck you can see from MAGENS BAY to THE SUNSET OVER THE CARIBBEAN SEA. 2 bedrooms, 1 bath and a lot of open space. Sleeps 4. The house is 1,600 square feet.
WE NOW HAVE ALL NATURAL HAND SOAP, SHAMPOO, DISHWASHING SOAP, LAUNDRY DETERGENT, BIO DEGRADABLE GARBAGE BAGS, TOILET PAPER FROM RECYCLED PAPER and SOLAR PANELS. We're doing everything we can to help the environment. It is lush and overgrown. You immediately feel like you are in another world.
The main room faces Magens Bay. The house is located in a gated community. It's very quiet, very private. All the rooms are large. The living room is 800 square feet. It is open, airy and not cluttered with a lot of furniture. It is 46 feet wide, has an 11 foot ceiling and 9 foot windows. You don't have to sit outside to enjoy the view including the sun setting which occurs right in front of the house over the bay . The kitchen is huge and has everything you could possibly need. We spend most of our time cooking on the barbecue. The veranda is 8 feet by 30 feet with a table that seats 4 and all the chairs face the view of the bay. The shower is open at the top and covered with a mosquito screen so you can take a shower & see the stars at the same time with out being bitten a million times by mosquitoes. The property is not perfectly manicured so it doesn't look like a hotel. It's a little overgrown so you really feel like you're in the tropics.There is a second bedroom with 2 twin beds.
We have resident iguanas, parakeets, humming birds and an infinite number of birds. 'This place is nice!'

Secluded place with amazing view
Great house with lush bushes and trees all around protecting your privacy. We never saw anyone else around the house, not even neighbors. If seclusion is your thing, this is the house for you. The steps down to the house can be tiring if you’re out of shape (especially when you forgot something from the car!) but it’s part of the benefit staying here. Warning! the power can go out (island wide) and it can get hot in the house making it unbearable, but if that happens just go to the beach nearby. Battman, the host, is very friendly and accommodating and prefers phone calls over texts.

St. Thomas Gem
This property owned by Alan Battman is wonderful. It is clean, beautiful, well stocked, etc. He was a wonderful communicator and extremely helpful before and during our stay on St. Thomas. It is in a very peaceful and quiet neighborhood which made our stay in St. Thomas extremely relaxing. The view from the back deck is gorgeous.

What an absolutely lovely piece of property! We enjoyed our stay here immensely. As advertised and all communications with Battman were extremely pleasant- like I connected with a long lost friend! The view, the deck, openness of the house, the private beach, Megan’s bay are only a few of the wonderful things located here. Book now- you won’t regret it!

Instead of my duplicating others, just read these best reviews!: 7-26-22 9-29-21 3-30-20 7-30-19 1-25-19 I only add that the bottle of wine & extra water jugs greeting us were a real surprise showing Alan's class! Also, the indoor "bug zapper" was so effective at ridding all flying insects (You definitely want this on in the evening.) The only hiccup was an outdated code for entering the gate, since fixed. I do wish to clarify the mixed reviews on accessing the private beach. The house sits 320 ft above sea level. That means a steep 1/2 mile trek down roads & 70-step stairway to a rocky promontory then the beach. You need a healthy youthful physique to reach it in the 7 minutes advertised, especially in sun carrying water, snorkels, etc. (The return climb, well...!) So if you're past prime or out of shape, not recommended. The beach is more a "perk" than "attraction." Don't base your decision to stay here on it, especially with Magen's as close by car. (BTW, from the private beach you can "swim-walk" the 1/2 mile upshore to Magen's!) Oh, one more thing, in the 1st photo with 4 panels, showing the stairway in the lower right panel, that is not the beach in the background, it is the roof of the house!) Lastly, ignore the 3-star review about anyone seeing in thru the outdoor shower window. The window is right against the foliage & the next house is way uphill thru more foliage. Nobody can possibly see into it! We hope to be back to this amazing house. Thanks again, Alan!

Perfect Island Vacation Stay
Great property with everything we needed for our stay and Battman was available by phone anytime we had questions or concerns. The place was clean and neat with all items necessary to make it enjoyable and comfortable! Easy check in and check out. The view is amazing and a peaceful place to have morning coffee as the sun comes up! The open air shower was also a nice touch. Thanks for the bottle of wine!

What a truly wonderful stay. Everything you could possibly need without a lot of fluff. The decor is somewhat minimalistic which proves to only shine a spotlight on the beautiful, unique pieces that there are. Nothing interior competes with the crown jewel view from the balcony. See over the pictures until you’ve burned the image in your mind and multiply by a thousand. The host (Batman) could not be more charming or helpful. He was available for any want or need we may have had and even went the extra mile to give me a quick phone call on my birthday. I cannot recommend this property enough.

The house and area are amazing. I loved waking up to the view of Magen’s Bay from the back deck. You can tell Mr. Battman has put his heart into the property and genuinely wants you to have a great stay. We will definitely be back!

Everything is just as it seems in pics. 5 minute drive to magens bay. Everything you need at the place but bring some coffee if you’re a coffee drinker. Alan was super responsive. i enjoyed all of his suggestions especially Shorty the guy we rented the car from. View was amazing!

Paradise! Absolutely amazing.
Everything from start to finish was easy breezy. We were brand new to the island, but our host made us comfortable by preparing us with all of the details we needed. From getting to the house from the airport to all of the local grocery stores, he helped us with everything. When it comes to the house itself, it was a paradise with a breathtaking view. Walking down the steps, you could smell the jasmine in bloom. Magan’s bay beach was a short drive away, or even a jog for those if you’re brave enough to run on the roads. Highly recommend staying here, and would definitely book again.

Amazing week on St. Thomas
Stayed here for a week with 3 friends before heading to the BVI for some sailing. Alan was an awesome host - incredibly helpful and very quick to respond to questions. He's clearly very interested in his guests having a relaxing time. Great location with an easy walk to a small secluded beach nearby. Views are out of this world. Highly recommend!

Thanksgiving Stay at Peterborg---Redrock
Our family of 4 had a restorative and relaxing stay at Battman's property out in Peterborg. The views from the balcony were stunning and the house was spacious and very comfortable. Another Thanksgiving on the island is just what we needed. Hoping to go back next year. THANKS!!!
