"We’ve stayed at Tradewinds many times.. this visit was excellent. The majority of the staff go out of the way to make you feel welcome. Our Bellhop was David. He had gone out of his way several times to make our stay better.. the coffee bar in the main lobby has the best coffee I have ever tasted! We went down there every morning and were served by a super friendly staff.. the Italian restaurant served amazing food… best breakfast around! We look forward to our next Tradewinds visit…"

"The room was nice and clean and comfortable. Parking was free and easy. The location is good, while you cannot see clearwater beach from the property because it is across the street and blocked by other buildings, it is a very short walk across the street to the beautiful clearwater beach and there are many shops and restaurants worth exploring in walking distance. We were very happy with the room and the surrounding area and would definitely consider staying again if we are in the area."

"The staff were incredibly helpful and polite, we were especially impressed by Mark, Al, Mel and Ashley who worked the beach area. The pool area was very clean and well attended to. We found the vast majority of the common areas to be clean but there are signs of wear and tear which is expected given the recent hurricane. We had a lovely view from our room (partial view) but we could easily see the Gulf. The room itself was fairly small, there was only 2 of us so we got by. It could use more...

"Broken elevator made it time-consuming to access rooms. Otherwise great. "

"It was a bit disappointing that there was no elevator due to the damage to the horicane, but everything was close by so it was very convenient. The staff were also really friendly and nice."

"This was my first time visiting Opal Sands. The resort and staff are wonderful! I will visit again. During our stay, there was a LOT of construction noise. (Jack hammers, beeping service vehicles, concrete cutting, etc). My husband and I found ourselves leaving each day to escape the construction noise which was coming from all angles. Taking an afternoon nap was definitely not an option. When all the construction is complete the resort will be absolute perfection! The heated pool was amazing...
