"This is a fantastic hotel which me and my wife would thoroughly recommend. Owner Jill could not have been more helpful, with a room upgrade. Cooked Breakfast was hot, and the fruit selection first class. You would find some of the other hotels more expensive and offer you a lot less. This hotel was first class all the way."

"We had booked a twin room, however on the day of arrival the owner has painted the room, so we ended up both been put in double rooms. The rooms we stayed in were very clean, offered tea and coffee making facilities and en-suite. "

"We stayed at The Central because of its convenient location for the Stephen Joseph Theatre. We were lucky to find parking directly in front of the hotel and purchased a discounted parking permit from the hotel. There are plenty of parking garages nearby as well. The lady on reception was friendly and helpful. The room on the third floor was a decent size with all the basics including an ironing board and iron. "Emma contacted me unprompted to see what time I would be arriving, which was a nice courtesy. Enjoyed a nice slice of homemade cake with my tea upon arrival. Nice touch! My single room was ideal for a solo overnight stay. Comfortable and warm. Excellent breakfast included plenty of tempting options, all served in the spacious breakfast room. I would highly recommend Waves."

"I stayed for one night at The Cordelia as a solo traveller, and chose this hotel as it was conveniently located and looked great in the photos. I was not disappointed! From the moment I arrived, Rebecca was most welcoming. I was given a dis for the car parking on the road and was shown to my room which was warm and cosy with lovely decoration and a homely touch. "We had a one night stop over. Staff friendly and welcoming. Room very clean, bed comfortable. In a quiet place. Plenty of tea and coffee. We were given a parking permit which was a nice touch. Arrived late afternoon took a walk down to the esplanade which was lovely lit up. "

"Really comfy place. Room was spot on. When the gentleman showed me the room. He noticed a mark on the duvet. (It was nothing really). It looked like they’d maybe rested the vacuum on the bed & it had left a bit of dirt. The gentleman changed the duvet cover there & then. I ordered my breakfast & unfortunately I slept in. When I left I apologised & they couldn’t have been nicer about it. Spot on place , would stay again."

"Really good B&B. A few minutes walk to the Spa. Town a little further, but an easy stroll overall. All staff we encountered were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast food hot and tasty. Everywhere cleaned to a very high standard."

"I'd read the previous reviews before booking here so this is an up-to-date review now for everyone! 1. Over a few days, I found out from random people that the area DID have a dodgy reputation so possibly the previous reviews are fair. But locals told me that the council have made a big effort to sort this out. I'm a middle-aged woman staying ON MY OWN and I saw zero of any concern. 2. One night break .

"One night ‘ dog holiday ‘ with our dog Tula . Check in was fast and efficient, massive thanks to Chris on the door / reception, really top bloke , nothing was too much trouble and good banter with everyone. Parking was free ( if you were lucky enough to get a street spot) with the permit given by the hotel . Good rooms , clean , WiFi good , sea view , comfy bed , good shower . Doggy treats etc in the room . Hotel situated at the ‘ nice end ‘ of Scarborough, and a stones throw from the beach. Ate in the hotel restaurant for our evening meal , again 10/10 . "

Short break

"Check in process was great. The key was in the key safe and the code was given on time, first impressions of the apartment was great, i emailed on the first night to ask how to work the heating as i did what it said in the book but it didnt work, about 30 mins later a lady rang me and i told her what the problem was, she apologised and explained that there was no one to come out as it was later on in the evening and would it be ok if someone came round the next day... i said this was fine, we were there for 5 nights so there was no urgency of someone coming out that night. No one came at all throughout our stay. The dishwasher didnt wash the dishes properly so we hand washed them, the tablet was still in the drawer after it had finished, the shower was not great at all, the tray filled up with water very quickly so had to turn it off whilst showering so the water could drain, then re start the shower to continue showering and the bathroom smelt damp all the time. The view was stunning and the beds were very comfortable, and the bedding was very clean. There was no tin opener or potato masher at the property so would advise to take them with you. A few of the towels and the dining chair covers had stains on them. Despite the few hiccups we had a lovely time."
