"We were so pleased. We loved staying here. We were enchanted by the home, and found it charming, comfortable, and well situated. When we return to NJ we will be no longer be having much quality outdoor time, so we particularly enjoyed the back porch where we enjoyed much of our evenings. "

"The cottage was cute, affordable, and close to everything. The pictures in the listing are accurate. Thes hosts, Jeremey and his sister Hilary were great!! They were very nice and accomodating!! "The Splendor on the Lake was amazing. It had all updated appliances, newly renovated bathrooms, and kitchen, The deck on the lake was beautiful and the firepit was a hit every night. The hospitality of the owner, providing us with some items needed to prepare meals and do our laundry was over and above the norm. "House nice and clean, I enjoyed the gas stove. Didn't like how we couldn't play in the pool after sunset, wanted to put the children to bed and just relax by the pool, but probably wouldn't have done that anyway because the pool is a little walk from the guest house. "The dates we selected was over hurricane Helene. We watched the storm over the river. The wind was very strong uplifting a tree to fall just short of our rental. The location can’t be beat! "The cottage is decorated very nicely. However when we arrived there was a dead tree branch in the driveway, and no WiFi. We contacted the contact person and they said they would contact the owner about these issues, but nothing was done. We figured out a fuse had blown and flipped it ourselves. Beds are comfortable and had everything we needed in the kitchen. "
