"Had a good experience overall. The hotel is conveniently located near many eateries and Umekoji stat, making it easy to explore the area. However, there were a few issues. The air conditioning unit has a broken outer part, and the shoji screens were torn. Additionally, the Netflix stopped working after a few days. On the positive sides, the cloth drying feature in the bathroom room was fantastic and very convenient. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made my stay more pleasant...

"it is a nice hotel with a friendly staff. The location is a little out-of-the-way so you will have to use an Uber or taxi to get to most of the sites. The train to Nara is about an 11 minute walk from the hotel. I took a taxi to the Gion one day, but walk back to the hotel after strolling through the Gion area and Potocho Alley (not sure the spelling of that) and it took me a half hour to get back to the hotel. "The front desk staff was amazing at this apartment style hotel. I wasn't expecting first class service but we definitely got it! They provided us a dinner recommendation, booked the taxi and booked the table. It was one of the best dinners we had in Japan and was in Pontocho Alley, which is a pretty popular area! The room was beautiful, everything was comfortable. Had a great experience!"
