"First time I stay here and only chose this hotel because of three things: fantastic breakfast, gym and bike hire. The bike hire did not work at all as the hotel stopped it the day I arrived (unlucky) . The breakfast was indeed fantastic, and the gym was not too bad (does not qualify as a gym though, more like a fitness room) . "

"Hotel Krone was just “ok”. I thought that the price was high for a ok hotel outside of tourist season (February). Hotel was nicely clean and comfortable. Arrived after 10 pm so had to make special arrangements to get key and find room but hotel was accommodating and helps to do this. "

"We stayed here for 4 nights. Wednesday through Sunday. There’s a bus stop right down the street but only until 7pm. If you come back to hotel after that the nearest bus stop is a 15-20 minute walk. And on Sundays the bus doesn’t run until 1pm- which was unfortunate because we needed to get to the airport- but staff arranged a taxi for us on Sunday morning which was fantastic. "The front desk lady that checked us in was very nice. Limited parking out front, but it’s free and we got a spot. Rooms are nice, though a little dated. Slow internet, but you’re in the heart of the Black Forrest so it is what it is. Overall great location and friendly staff. I would absolutely recommend staying here. Easy short drive to the buses for the Christmas market too!"
