"Amazing stay, even extended twice. The service is second to none, everything is no problem. From the amazing view of the sea to all the varied wildlife in the grounds, posse of monkeys visit every day drinking from the pool and generally being monkeys to peacocks, a mongoose, frogs, all the birds. Nick the owner is a friendly chap and clearly set the ethos of this place and is always around to help if needed. Kalpa and Umesh (managers) are great, absolute credit to the place. "Plenty of staff but no managements. They were helpful but not efficient, particularly at breakfast. Hotel needs a good refresh, paint etc. finally I would recommend all Hotel.Com clients use the Spa Wing for better rooms and great sunset views. We changed after disappointing first night in the main building. "

"This property is designed to take care of your every need. You have a personal butler who you work with for everything—dining, outside excursions, a drink by the pool—and they do an excellent job. Our butler was Menuka and he was wonderful, helpful, and kind. We stayed on the property for the most part and chose to do all of our meals there because we liked the food and the convenience. It is a very small property and quiet so if you are really interested in disconnecting, this is a good choice....

"We loved our stay at Arabella. Loved the simplicity and size of the rooms. Kept very clean and tidy by the staff. Cute offering of bananas for supper in the room with the turn down service. "Perfect location on beach, and only a few rooms at hotel meant we had pool area to ourselves a lot of the time and was very tranquil, great after a hectic few days travelling around Sri Lanka. Short walk along beach for nice beach bars, or take a tut tut into centre of town."
