"This hotel is in a great location, close to downtown and beautiful South Hill parks. I was worried about noise from traffic and helicopters (air ambulances), but the walls and windows kept the noise to a minimum. Our room was on the road and hospital (north) side. I’m a light sleeper and actually slept well enough. However, the main road isn’t super busy either. The heating/cooling unit was quieter than other places. My daughter and I felt safe the entire stay. The rooms are clean, the staff was friendly and chatted it up a bit with us. The breakfast was quite a spread and typical for hotels. It was a decent way to start our day. I would stay here again. The clientele seemed like us: everyday folks looking for a safe, comfortable stay at a place without all the bell and whistles for a decent price in a great spot. "
