Swimming there is not encouraged, but perfectly possible if you take good care not to go in to far. Staff is super friendly and cooperative. Restaurant is above the average we experienced on CV. "Its a decent resort style hotel in the Oasis chain. Not particularly close to anything, but thats fine when all you want to do is relax by the pool. There is no beach - beach in Praia is blah, better to go to Sal or Boa Vista for quality beaches. Room was correct, nice balcony overlooking the water and view on Fogo volcano, which was neat! AC worked well, wifi was sometimes spotty but ok in general. Good towels. Front desk staff were helpful and responded to a request to fix the sink to drain...
