"It's about a 10 minute walk to Sunzal beach - so in that sense the property is very convenient for surfing. That being said, there's very little in the immediate area of the hotel, and it's about a 25-30 minute walk to El Tunco. I rented a motorcycle, so that wasn't much a problem for me. "Very authentic experience. We really enjoyed the town and the accommodations were beautiful. Whenever we ran out of something we notified the owners and they provided whatever we needed right away. The beds were comfortable and we did not lose power even when there was a terrible storm (this was not the case in other places we stayed while visiting El Salvador). The town offers lots of delicious food, great shopping, and we felt safe walking around the park with our children, even late at night....
