"The staff were extremely friendly, and the room was acceptable with a good shower. The breakfasts were basic, and the dinners were pub style but adequate. The area is right in the countryside and the historic village church is well worth a visit"

"The property was amazing and owners very flexible around arrival time and departure. Couldn’t fault it and would definitely choose to stay again. However very confusing that received 2 invoices - 1 from Homeaway and another from Crabtree and Crabtree. Confusing as to what was being paid for what. Slight problem with accidental damage to a door, money taken from my card within 2 days of departure and I was told C and C would negotiate with owners even though I informed the owner myself on...

Fantastic 3 days spent at the Beaumont

"Fantastic 3 days spent at the Beaumont. It’s our 4th visit and as ever it’s a great way to re- energise in a relaxing environment with such friendly staff. The Northumberland gastronomy that the menu provides is very clever and an explosion of local flavours is backed up with an array of well selected wines - Albariño albeit Spanish or Portuguese is recommended. Take the time to enjoy this beautiful boutique hotel but don’t ignore the history of the town of Hexham and neighbouring enclaves. A visit to the Abbey crypt is well worth the large stepped decent and a trawl through the local antiques often uncovers a gem or two. There’s no shortage of artisan trades in this thriving town and the Indepent retail owners are testimony to the thriving town. Fantastic 3 days spent at the Beaumont. Carlisle Overnighter

"This is my 4th visit to this excellent hotel, always on a one night stay as I am taking the Carlisle to Settle train the next day (must see!). This hotel is a great place to stay, the staff are warm and welcoming, the rooms are spacious and comfortable and I always get a great nights sleep here. Only a 5-10 minute walk from the station, the building is quite old and has a lot of character. Incredible value for money and well located I never consider staying anywhere else if I am staying in Carlisle. The breakfast at 10.50 pounds is well worth the money. "
