"Location was perfect, able to walk to all main sites, hotel just off main market square and canal with boat trips 1 min away. Staff at hotel excellent. Only minus if staying in guest house is there are no lifts and two flights of stairs but rooms are lovely."

"I loved this place and will definitely recommend everyone to stay here. This was at a very convenient, walkable distance from restaurants and touristic places. It was a nice, clean place and even tho the weather outside was cold, the room was nice and warm. It has a lovely vibe."

"I had a wonderful stay at this charming family hotel in Ghent. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was incredibly warm and helpful. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. "We had a lovely long weekend at Molenmeers. Sofie was very welcoming and had lots of recommendations for restaurants, bars, and things to do. The room was gorgeous and we had access to the library that overlooked the canal. Could not fault the experience. "

We had plenty of space in our room and even had a smaller room joining in which we kept our luggage and our travel cot when our baby napped. The host was lovely and so helpful. "Everyone should be so lucky so stay in this beautiful guest house. Lyne went above & beyond to great us on arrival. The superior breakfast food & service was exceptional. Beautiful canal view. We would definitely return! 5 stars should be 10 stars "

"We had an amazing time here, such a lovely place and really warm despite it being winter! The breakfast was amazing, a basket of goodies to tuck into with all the required utilities in the kitchenette. Parking was great with an option for EV charging. The city centre was just 10 minutes away by foot and very easy to find. Highly recommend this place, would definitely stay again."

"Good location, nice clean property with modern furniture and beds. However, we were disappointed that the owners never contacted us prior to arriving, despite being told we would receive the code. The number listed on the Hotels.com is out of service. We managed to contact one owner by finding a phone number on another website. Not a great check-in system-this needs to be revamped before we can recommend."

"First off, our host, Bernard met us at the train station and drove us to the property which was conveniently located next to the park. We fell in love with the house the minute we saw it. The interior is comfy with a working kitchen, lots of guidebooks and information about Bruges. There were two comfortable couches for us to lounge and relax on. "I was not expecting a code-style reception at "A Flemish Tale. To me, an in-person reception check-in is essential for a traveler overseas like me. Thankfully, I was waiting downstairs at least 2 hours before my "check-in time" at 3:00 p.m., so that I was able to meet, totally by chance, the lady in charge at the entrance. But for this, I would not have been able to get my access code. Imagine how scary it was! "

"Incredible location! Perfect for our first trip to Ghent. Plenty of space for two of us (adults). The bathroom glass makes privacy an issue if you are not a couple, and as noted on many other reviews, the shower gets water all over the glory. Those small bathroom issues would not sway us from staying here again though. We loved the property and the vibe of the place. They have done an incredible job with preserving it. I highly recommend this as a place to call home during a Ghent visit."

"We arrived late and it was the night of the boss' wedding. Yeah, right. So we couldn't park the car in the underground garage at the Hotel but had to find a place on the street wherever I could. No restaurant for the night of course, you know, the wedding. A complimentary drink in exchange. Well, decide for yourself. Other than these it was a nice place, for one night we had to spend there."

"Al jaren vaste prik voor lange weekends. Inchecken zonder veel gedoe en de rust die je daar vindt, vind je nergens. Leuke bars/resto’s maar de max zijn de lange wandelingen of fietstochten die je kan doen. Of een mooie strandwandeling op de grote stranden. "This was my wife and I first stay in Bruges and our stay at this hotel made the visit more the memorable All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable, clean and well maintained as was the whole hotel.The underground car park was very convenient albeit a bit tight getting my car in and out of the lift! Breakfast was excellent with a large choice of menu. The bar and reception was a real treat with a relaxed feel in beautifully decorated and furnished rooms. It seemed popular with both guests and visitors. If you're looking for a relaxed, luxurious hotel in a prime location in the heart of Bruges that offers great value for money, then I'd fully recommend a stay here "
