"Cozy cabin in a tranquil setting. Located within a vineyard and on a pond. Outside setting faced the pond and was an excellent place for coffee and evening cocktails. Beautiful location within easy commute to Chapel Hill, Durham, and surrounding area."

"This was such a great getaway for the weekend. Everything was clean and well maintained. The hosts were easy to contact and answered all my questions. Great way to learn about living off grid, showering in an outdoor stall and using a composting toilet. If you need to keep some food cold or frozen I suggest bringing some ice. They provided a small cooler. Overall great experience."

"Wow! The sweet, quaint cabin floored us. It was more than we expected, but we are grateful to have experienced something better. We came expecting to have fun and left thinking we must come back for the whole weekend. There is not one complaint we can list. Thanks to Hodgin Valley Farm for providing two old folks with a special 65th birthday celebration. In the voice of Arnold, "We'll be back!" "

"The property is lovely and many thoughtful items are in place. However, -no comfortable chairs with lights for reading -no picture of the upstairs loft on line -towels not the quality we expect at this price point -as others have said, hanging and storage are inadequate, even a few luggage racks would help -when we arrived the door was not locked, the bathroom hadn't been checked and the dishwasher wasn't empty. -we also didn't have hot water our first three mornings but the owner responded to...

"We loved our stay. They thought of everything to keep us comfortable. Historic and yet thoroughly modern -- with all the tech you could want. Close to our son in Pittsboro and not too far from Chapel Hill! It would be great for a game weekend if you don't like the hustle and bustle of the campus area."

"We liked the cabin. It has plenty for cooking in the cabin. It was comfortable and we were able to use the amenities of the campground. We recommend movies as the internet did not support streaming."

"The only issue is that it needs a full size refrigerator. Mini refrigerator just isn’t enough. And needed more than 1towel ….other than that it was great!"

"The property location was great for us. The manager/owner responded quickly to my calls. However here items needed more towels, no iron limited dishes, and hauling trash to curb was inconvenient, but pass that it was a wonderful experience. The owner/manager responses were good, timing was just off. But we would go again…"

"We absolutely loved our stay. The property was so beautiful. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by a family of deer, cute squirrels and a variety of birds. The nature walk around the property was a nice touch, along with the hammock and swings. It was very peaceful and relaxing but at the same time very convenient to restaurants and stores."
