"Comfortable hotel. We were visiting family and therefore only used room, parking and breakfast. The car park is under the hotel and now has two 7kWh EV chargers BP Pulse which we used. Good value stay near centre of town. "

"Excellent 2day stay 24th to 26th December. Warm friendly welcome on arrival. Allowed to check in early as theyvwere quieter than usual. All staff were smiling and helpful. The bed was so comfortable. All in all a very pleasant stay and well positioned giving easy access to the road network. I will be back if in the area."

"Arrived early greeted by lovely lovely young lady on reception (she is a credit to the hotel) we had a drink and snacks in the bar. Again lovely attentive staff. Cannot fault the staff or communal areas. Room comfortable and warm. Thank you "

"Only stayed one night, but really enjoyed stay. We arrived early in the morning and although we could not book in till 3 we were allowed to park in the car park. Although parking costs £10 it was worth it as we didn’t have to pay or find parking elsewhere when we spent the day in the town. Easy to walk into town. Hotel is really nice, lovely old building. Spotlessly clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Don’t know what the bad reviews are about. Don’t let them put you off. "
