"We had a lovely stay. The breakfast was first class, as were the staff. I have two comments about our room (8) - the pillows were a bit lumpy and if we had occasion to stay again, I’d request not to stay in this room because of the two steep steps down into the bathroom. Younger folk may have no problem with them but being that much older and having creaky knees, it wasn’t easy to negotiate them. Thankfully there was a very sturdy rail to hold onto. But I’d still request a different room. All...

"I found the Hotel easily from the Railway Station after a short walk. I found everything about the place lovely! Lovely room with all you need available, lovely comfortable bed and a lovely Breakfast with everything you could to need! Staff lovely and polite. The only downside was its position on a main road and by forgetting to shut window/ bathroom door got woke up by the morning commute!!!"

"A one night birthday trip. Staff are welcoming and attentive without being intrusive. Room comfortable if a little small. Room was very warm but solved by turning off the heat and opening the window. My only recommendation would be for the waiting staff to bring out the required knives for meals. Had soup and a roll with whipped butter but no knife to spread butter, also had steak again no steak knife. Both had to be requested. "Loved my stay! Very clean and cozy. The staff were very helpful. "

"The single room was comfortable, clean and pleasant. It had tea making facilities, a hair drier and iron. The en suite was of a good size and private. The only draw back was the shower - it had little water pressure and the shower hose was a poor fit. I had a key to a separate entrance which gave me freedom to avoid the bar and flexibility to come and go."
