"This place is a true gem. Carlos, Paula, Adriana and staff made sure we felt at home. The property itself is super nice and within 3-4 minutes drive from Monteverde center. Apparently they've renovated it only a year ago. It's very spacious and well maintained. Rooms are big, very clean, and well set for our arrival. "Not the smoothest of steep roads up the hill but well worth it when you get there. Takes about ten minutes off the main road so not handy if you are heading in and out all the time but so secluded and quiet when you are there. The view alone is worth the effort. The spacious room was more than adequate. "

"Wonderful location in the middle of the rainforest. You can hear the high winds whipping above, but protected in the thick layers of the forest, just a small cool breeze standing on the balcony. Bed was very comfortable."

"The shower's hot water is not strong enough, so you need to turn the water volume way down to have a decent temperature shower. The room sound insulation is very poor and you can easily hear the tv from next room. The room service is ok, and the bed was not set every day."

"So it’s not easy to drive here. Somehow Waze took us on a gravel road for miles it wasn’t easy to drive. So just make sure you get directions on the pave road. It’s beautiful and serenity kicks in. The manager is extremely nice and his dog is the best! "

"Dirty hostel. Disrty pillow cases, musty rooms, slippery grated floors outsude to get in, no handicap entrances, very limited breakfast hours of 1.5 hours 6:20am-7:30am only. Flught was delayed in NYC due to flooding so we didn't get there until 2 days later and no one was on the premises- had ro go next door to another hotel to get someone to call that bed and breakfast. "

"Fantastic hosts who were incredibly helpful for suggestions in the area and even helped me troubleshoot some conflicting information between a ticket I had booked and the hours a national park said it was open! "Beautiful property, very helpful staff, the food was delicious and everything was very clean. We had a room with a private pool (not heated) which was great to have such a large private patio space when we wanted downtime. Our 2 kids loved the warm pools and the housekeepers leaving them little treats in the afternoon. The hotel doesn’t cater to families or young kids but it was still an excellent place if you do have kids. It was a short walk to everything we needed while we were on the resort but we had a car rental as we were exploring the area daily that we parked right outside our Chato. There isn’t a gym available, but the resort is lovely for a run. It was so easy to communicate with the staff in WhatsApp I ask questions and order room service. We ordered room service a couple nights, which was delicious. Our favourite was the poke bowl. The breakfast buffet was perfect every morning before we started our day. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!"

"I loved my stay at La Mansion. Christopher and the rest of the staff was so helpful and genuinely kind. The room was spacious and beautiful. The property and view was gorgeous. Waking up to the lake view and rainforest sounds every morning was heavenly. I didn’t get a chance to hike down to the lake because the rain was in predictable the morning we tried to do that. Breakfast was okay, not too many healthy options. Dinner options were okay. The Cesar salad was amazing! Although it’s a lil drive from places like La Fortuna, I would definitely stay here again. "
