"Erika's cottage was clean, well equipped and in a quiet location. The view of Blencathra from the back of the cottage is beautiful and we loved seeing the red squirrels who were daily visitors. We didn't meet our hosts so can't comment on them but the emails via VRBO were adequate and we found our way in and around easily. The extra information about the area was very welcome. My only comment about our arrival is that the cottage was extremely cold and it took a while for it to warm up. The...

"Great for a short stay"

"Such a cost, warm and welcoming cottage. Instantly feels like a home away from home. Superbly equipped and near to some of the most surrounding walks and tells such as Skiddaw and (right above) Blenchathra. Parking right outside the lodge too (if your car isn't too big!), which is really handy for unpacking. Check in/out is easy. Easy to find too. Will definitely be returning! Great for couples or people on their own."

"No contact, no one to advise which property we were in. Tried contacting, but very difficult to contact owner. Once inside no kettle or toaster, no welcome pack, no internet, phone signal. Microwave was broken. No screen for shower. Was promised internet etc would be sorted , but it wasn’t. Would not recommend this property."
