Greeted on arrival by the very welcoming host who immediately set the fire away and brought me cake and biscuits, she was very helpful and informative regarding local walks. The property and grounds are superbly maintained and it was so peaceful watching the chickens roaming freely from my bedroom window and listening to the birds."

"This was our first time at The Royal Oak Hotel. Staff were very friendly, and couldn’t have been more helpful. Our room was modern with a rustic yet country feel, comfortable, spacious, and clean. Food was delicious. We had breakfast each morning and dined in the restaurant on the night. Staff were helpful and attentive. The hotel is dog friendly, which was perfect as we have two Labs, which meant the could come with us. "
