"The hotel looks to be renovated and uses a digital key to open the front sliding door and room door. I was sent a link with my reservation info and the digital keys. Opened the link on my phone and swiped the digital key to open the door. My concern was whether their WiFi would be working, which is needed to open the link. Cell signal on my phone was spotty there. Parking was in the rear of the hotel on parking spots with yellow lines. Coop market was next door, which was very convenient. Breakfast at the hotel was very good. The person at the front desk spoke English, which was a big plus My room was very quiet. Couldn't hear the Church bells ringing across the street About 1.5 hours to drive to Lauterbrunnen from there, but the price was just right for us, so we didn't mind the drive I would stay there again."

"The cottage is clean comfortable and calming, located in a pleasant resort community without the noise, traffic and tourist. A reminder of years past when vacations were simpler and happier. Lake acces was a plus."

"Had a wonderful stay in Sachseln with family, contracted for the entire B&B. B&B is run is true Swiss fashion, timely, efficiently, clean. Plenty of bedrooms, shared baths, recently built gazebo outside which was great for outdoors wine/cheese. Verena operates a beautiful villa directly on lake Sarnen, good restaurants and local stores nearby... excellent for access to Swiss rail as the station is directly behind the villa. Would look forward to staying at Verena's Boutique Villa again..."

"You must meet your host for the key, however he does not speak much English so that was a challenge. Be sure to email and call a few days in advance of your arrival to ensure that you can get a hold of someone if you need to communicate in English. Having a washer was great, but clothes must air dry in the lower level. Plan to wash in the evening and hang dry overnight and you'll have guaranteed dried clothes. The description mentioned a pool, and a 'community pool'. Community pool should be removed, as the pool on the property is a natural spring (cold) large hot tub sized place to dip. Wifi signal was strong and appreciated. Kitchen was well -equipped with utensils, dishes, etc. The journey up the mountain was an adventure. Not for the faint at heart - but upon arrival the view of the towns, mountain and lake were amazing. There were no written directions left at the property. Our host informed us the best that he could with his limited English and gestures. However, this was not like our typical VRBO experience. I think we learned that the host just starting renting, so hoping that this feedback is helpful. The place has alot of character and the views are amazing. If you are up for an adventure, this is a place to try - but if you have limited mobility or small children, you may want to consider other places to stay."
