Sapporo Grand Hotel

4.0 star property
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (1411)
"A rather staid Hotel right in the center of Sapporo, rolling distance via underground passage from the main station. We stayed twice, receiving the same room both times despite one being "standard" and the other "premium". Actually a rather dated but not uncomfortable snug room with a tiny but immaculate and well laid out bathroom. A big plus was the book-ahead price and the FABULOUS breakfast buffet, loaded with Hokkaido specialties."

"Not too far from the station and quite close to the famous Red Brick. Unfortunately it’s closed till 2025. The walls may be a little thin but that’s okay. It’s an old fashion key system, not card so you’ll have to hand it in everytime you go out. "

Mitsui Garden Hotel Sapporo

4.0 star property
8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (1002)
"Overall, this location was amazing. Within a 5-10 minute walk from the main Sapporo station. We arrived first day in the rain and it was easy enough to find. They assist you with check in at a machine that prints out a key (colour coded for male vs female so that you can use the shared 'bath' on the property). Though we never used the shared bath, the parking was easy enough to get to (on the side of the building - not the front), the lounge had a microwave, water and coffee/tea. Property...
