"Very lovely stay in the countryside "

"Immediately felt at home in this property! All the rooms were well appointed, exceptionally clean and tastefully decorated. This home is very spacious and heaters and fireplace made it cozy on cool March evenings. The area is beautiful and quiet in spite of the construction nearby. We enjoyed exploring numerous beaches and sights in the Algarve, never more than an hour drive. Aljezur has a sweet old town with historic and cool vibe and lovely beaches within walking distance. "I left right away, stayed in hotel. House was misrepresented. Not large house, but apt, no ocean view, no TV, no 2nd bathroom, not beach front... 20 min away. Heavy musty smell which was unbearable, he said "I have no mold" his word, not mine. Entrance to place was not the front door, but through like a garage which was filled with junk,hoses,stuff. Door to apt was covered in turf, did not lock properly, did not open all the way, he told me don't worry, it's safe here. There's a 2nd apt. in this...

"We had a lovely two weeks in this property. The view was spectacular, the outside areas and pool were great with the balcony comfortable and shady. Inside the house felt spacious and the kitchen well equipped. Lots to do within an easy drive. We found Portugal good value for money with great food and friendly people, we will return."

"The apartment was exactly as it was described. The outdoor space was lovely. We had a minor issue the first day and our host, Thyl, arrived to address it within five minutes. He was wonderfully informative about the town and was very helpful with recommendations. Thyl also does tours and we thoroughly recommend. Thank you!"

"The accomodation was traditional and clean, however the outside space was poorly kept and pool was unusable. The note in side the property said it was the occupants responcibility to clean the pool. I don't go on holiday to to start working on the place i am staying. The bedding was very minimal and no duvets."

"Located right in the center of Alvor, very close to restaurants and shops. The downside is that there is a huge construction site neighbouring the house. Lots of noise. Instructions to get into the house was unclear, the key was missing from the key chain. We waited more than 30 min to get in. There were 4 doors and none of the keys worked. We had the main floor. The upstairs is rented as well. The doors knobs need replacing, they barely work and one came off in our hand. Cleaniless...

"Clean.Balcony with views over dunes to sea and sunsets.Helpful manager quickly resolved problem of new kettle tripping electricity on arrival.Very well equipped kitchen with plenty of crockery , pans, ovenware etc best we’ve ever encountered on vrbo. Quiet location , good parking, walks to town etc. Only downside beds rather soft for us , all preferred firmer mattress but that’s a personal thing. Overall good experience."
