"Love the stay/breakfast/help with excursion and transportation....but ¹we missed hot water in sink and shower... "

"We enjoyed staying at the Mar Inn. Christine at the front desk showed us the map of the city and guided us to a couple of very good restaurants. Breakfast was very good as well. Close to the cloud forest and a Sloth sanctuary. Tip, park at the parking lot that says Offical Parking & take the shuttle, there is really no parking at the park entrance. "

"Vacationed here for a short honeymoon stay. Great property. However, take into consideration that the property is a 3-hour drive from the airport and the hotel does not provide transportation (costs an additional $USD200 for private transportation from the airport). Daily breakfast was wonderful and the staff was very kind and accommodating. "

"Stayed 2 nights. Family of four (2 adults and 2 kids). The staff is very courteous and willing to help with anything from suggestions on tourist stops to restaurants. The location is very close to the cloud forest. Yay! The rooms are well cleaned and comfortable. You’re surrounded by trees/forest (very scenic). As a bonus, we had monkey’s playing outside in the trees next to us! Highly recommend!!"

"Dirty hostel. Disrty pillow cases, musty rooms, slippery grated floors outsude to get in, no handicap entrances, very limited breakfast hours of 1.5 hours 6:20am-7:30am only. Flught was delayed in NYC due to flooding so we didn't get there until 2 days later and no one was on the premises- had ro go next door to another hotel to get someone to call that bed and breakfast. "

"This hotel was a wonderful surprise and exceeded our expectations. It was a little out of town, but we had a rental car so no issue. The host was fantastic and very helpful, the room was spectacular, and the walk between the room and the restaurant was amazing. We spotted more wildlife in the short walk than our two hour tour through the Monteverde cloud forest(plus we weren’t overwhelmed by hoarded of tourists bussed in from elsewhere). We spotted toucans, parrots, toucanets, a motmot, even a...

"The staff speaks both English and Spanish. They were friendly and provided both traditional Costa Rican and American type breakfast options. Our room had a balcony with amazing views. "
