"The view to the Duomo is incredible. I stayed during Christmas and New Years. There were a lot of tourists even though it is off season. There is a lot of Italian merry making in the wee hours. This did not bother me since most of the time it was happy noise. I already miss the sounds of horse hooves on cobblestone, churchbells and opera man. The staff are incredibly helpful and knowlegeble. Special kudos to Marcel and Gilles. Everyone there works very hard for you to have a nice stay."

"Brilliant location, right by Ufizzi. Staff very helpful, only downside was iffy WiFi. We cooked one night in the little kitchen which was perfectly adequate. I loved the stove top coffee maker and generously provided espresso coffee. Clean and comfortable. Would happily stay again. "

"Best kept secret. View of the Duomo, common rooms access to kitchen & sitting room/living room , great hotel recommendation for local Florentine restaurant (Ristorante Caffagi /get the steak!) and parking garage available for our car. Luanna was so hospitable. "

"It is a walk up, there is a lift in the building but not for guest. If you are traveling with big luggages, prepare to carry them yourself. Everything else met our expectation. Location is great too."

"Style, shabby chic, focus on the shabby. Shower in need of replacing and a bit of attention to the general upkeep of the room. It was clean, bed was comfortable and clean towels and bedding. It is located close to the main attractions and was easy to get to from the railway station. Was good value for the money. "

"A very nice "on the budget" option that is close to both the train stations and all the major attractions. The staff is nice and generally responsive. The only problem we had was related to the general condition of the property. While the room itself was clean, there was a terrible smell coming from the shower stall (which was masked initially by a huge amount of air freshener spray). When we informed the staff of this problem, they called a plumber, who said the said it was a major problem...

"駅から少し歩いたところにありますが、ホテルの入り口に大きい看板があるので見逃すことはないでしょう。朝ごはんは部屋まで持ってきてくれるし、簡単ではあるが美味しかった。連泊する場合は自分から受付に朝ごはんの時間を言わないといけないかもしれません。壁が少し薄いので、夜寝る時は少し横の部屋の音が気になりました。それ以外はとてもよかった。"

"After a little confusion finding the right floor of the building (it's on the second floor), Lorenzo was wonderful and gave very clear instructions about the property and the area. Our room was good sized and the bathroom large but the shower small. It’s an older building but in a great location (just a block from The Medici Chapel) with lots around and easy walks to the train and bus stations. Also close to a self-service laundry mat. "

"Hotel excelente, exatamente como nas fotos, bem localizado, extremamente espaçoso e confortável. Com um bônus sensacional: fica ao lado de umas escadas rolantes que são um presente para te fazer chegar ao topo da cidade em minutos e te livrando de uma subida imensa a pé. "Had wonderful experience. Spacious. Clean. Quite pleasing view as well. Would have been better if it was river view, but terrace view wasn't that bad. Bed was comfy as well. Staff were all friendly."

"Hotel Calimala Firenze was probably one of the best hotels nested in the heart of Florence. My family of four was traveling Italy for 11 days during last Christmas holiday. We chose to stay at Hotel Calimala from 12:25-12/27. If you have a chance to stay at this property, please choose it without any hesitation. We reserved 2 bedrooms next to each other ( one room occupied by my 13 and 15 yr old sons). We stayed at a deluxe bedroom and everything was perfect. Welcome gifts and bottled water were served daily. We also had great amenities offered in both bedrooms. Breakfast was great and plentiful. House keeping was provided daily. Hotel staffs were very professional and courteous. Also everything is in walking distance. Uffizzi Museum was only 3 minutes away, shopping centers and restaurants were just minutes away, and even Duomo was only 4 minutes away. We plan to return to this property again in near future when visiting Italy. "

"We contacted the hotel to see if we could drop off our bags early and they said yes. When we arrived 2 hours early, our room was ready so we were allowed to check in then which was a pleasant surprise! They had free bottles of water in the room for us and bedroom shoes. The staff was very friendly and they did a great job in cleaning our room. The hotel was beautiful and we had a pleasant stay."
