"The Russell Hotel is a good place to stay very close to Royal Tunbridge Wells amenities and attractions. We stayed here because we were going on the Spa Valley Railway Cheese Train on the Saturday afternoon and the hotel was an close enough to walk everywhere. "

"Lovely location for a stay in Royal Tunbridge Wells. We were on the top floor, 5 levels of very narrow and winding stairs, no lift. It was manageable but a little annoying. Staff were friendly. The room is quite small but sufficient. It was cold with a draft from the windows, often rattling in the wind. "A very unusual property, being a Victorian estate built into a hillside. It is very easy to get lost at Salomons Estate, so th signage could have been better. You have to register at reception first before receiving a map to the building that you will be staying in. I found the lady on reception to be less than helpful, but she was better the following morning when I checked out. I had to ask another guest which building was which as there are several and it wasn't clear where to go - better...
