"Have not stayed here for several years. It has improved a lot since our last visit! Excellent reception employees. Hotel is now surrounded with a well designed and pleasant looking security fence. New paint. The hallway has new carpet and light fixtures which much improves the ambiance. Although these rooms are not fancy, nor do they have carpeting, they have freshened up the decor and they are clean. Excellent value for the cost as well. Will be staying here in the future while in the Arcata...

"Staff was wonderful, polite and courteous. They didn’t bother us when we stayed someplace. We do not want our room touched. We will come out every three days and ask for clean towels and they were courteous enough to do that for us."

"We apparently booked a room in the newer building across the street from the Victorian building. Though I was surprised we thought since it had an elevator it might be easier. It was and our room was spacious, however like the lobby it was completely bland, no sense of thought was put into either space.
