"My family and I traveled to Webster Springs for Christmas. My husband and I grew up in this area. The house is located about 2-3 miles from my parents, so the overall location was wonderful. The house is spacious, has the amenities that you would anticipate, plus it had quite a few things that were unexpected . Kara was wonderful to answer questions prior to the trip and the entire time we were there. We will definitely return!"

"This was for our 10th anniversary..great area..nice and quiet..everything in the listing is right on..no surprises..we stayed 3 nights and 4 days..all the stores and shopping are about a 20 minute drive but it was fine.. we bbq and listened to tmusic..it was great..i would recommend this..absolutely.. . Will be staying again in the future.."

"Such a charming and cozy property. I knew when we walked along the garden path and entered to be welcomed by the kitchen hummingbird poster it was the place for us. The historic home was gorgeous -the wood floors and comfy furniture plus modern comforts mark this unique property. I can’t say enough about the quality furnishings, art, and other design elements. The live plants are another nice touch-beautiful! The local reading materials were great and so informative- we were reminded to visit...

"We really enjoyed our time at Hemlock house. It was well equipped and had plenty of gathering and sleeping space. The Hot Tub was toasty warm at night, and the views with falling snow were magnificent. About that snow… the drive back to the house off the main highway is pretty significant, but well maintained. Before the snow even fell, though the owner called to give us a heads up and let us know a storm was coming in. We had plenty of time to prepare and he even offered us extr time to get out...

"Harriet was an outstanding hostess. She warmly greeted us and was available for any questions we had. Her home is a jewel. Beautiful, comfortable, well-equipped, and in a fabulous location. We loved every minute of the stay and would highly recommend Harriet’s home. She even left us a homemade friendship bread. Delicious!"

"The song Country Road is the perfect backdrop while driving down the scenic route to Boulder Trail Getaway. The house is wayyyy back off the main road but the tranquility of the deep woods is incredible. The house is very comfortable and (5) women had plenty of room to move around. The hot tub and great fire pit kept everyone entertained. The kitchen was well supplied with pots/pans and small appliances that made making meals easy. Nice gas grill too! Great vacation home."

"So sad to have to write a less than positive review, but the house was not clean and it has a strong musty smell that appears to be coming up from the basement. The coffee pot had a bunch of mold growing in the filter compartment because the last renters didn't empty it when leaving, but apparently the cleaning crew didn't look at it either. The house had a lot of spiderwebs (and spiders) inside the foyer where you had to enter which again, the cleaning crew apparently hasn't paid attention...

"A lovely home. Clean and well appointed. Strong fragrances and detergents is the only complaint. That isn’t an issue for everyone, but is something to consider for those with smell and skin sensitivity. "
