"The property and rooms were very nice, clean and spacious. Breakfast is not available but a ahort ride into town iffers several options for eating. Keep in mind that there is not an elevator and it seems that the rooms are on higher levels. Overall I would recommend staying here as it is secure and a lovely place."

"We stayed here for 4 nights. Wednesday through Sunday. There’s a bus stop right down the street but only until 7pm. If you come back to hotel after that the nearest bus stop is a 15-20 minute walk. And on Sundays the bus doesn’t run until 1pm- which was unfortunate because we needed to get to the airport- but staff arranged a taxi for us on Sunday morning which was fantastic. Other than limited transportation in area, everything else was great. The room was spacious and perfect for what we needed. Bed was made every night we came back to hotel. Bed was comfy and temperature in room was good as well."

"Great choice in the area to explore both sides of the border. It is much cheaper to stay in Germany than Switzerland. A ten minute walk to the Rheinfelden train station on the Swiss side where you can access all of Switzerland. Breakfast is very good, room is up to date and clean. Staff is friendly and attentive. Elevator is tiny! Several grocery stores nearby. Would like it better if the room to had a fridge. I've stayed here twice and would happily do so again."

"During my recent trip to Basel, I had the pleasure of staying at a charming small hotel located just within the German borders. This delightful establishment is run by a dedicated husband-and-wife team, who may very well be the original owners or perhaps the second generation of their family to manage it. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the auntie who handles the reception. Her friendly demeanor immediately made me feel at home. Meanwhile, her husband is the talent behind the scenes, skillfully working in the hotel’s kitchen. What sets this hotel apart is the quality of its amenities. Every detail reflects a commitment to excellence, from the high-quality materials used in the construction to the exquisite breakfast spread offered each morning. The breakfast featured top-notch products, and each bite was a testament to their dedication to providing the best for their guests. Among the staff, Jany stood out with her cheerful and efficient service. She tirelessly attended to every table, ensuring that each guest’s needs were met with a smile. To the entire team at this wonderful hotel, I extend my heartfelt thanks. Your hard work and warm hospitality made my stay truly memorable."

"This is a really nice hotel situated a 5 minute downhill walk from the train station and about ten minute slow walk from the centre of town. Staff were friendly, bedroom and all public areas were immaculately presented and its well situated for a twenty minute walk to the Feldschollsen brewery where you can go on a brewery tour. I will definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends travelling through Basel as it is an easy 18minute train drive."

"Typical ibis budget quality but totally ok with it as long as you know there is no hair dryer and the desk is relatively small. Overall 4/5 and nice hotel, plus points for the underground garage which is very good."
