"Gilles was an excellent host, and the house and yard are fantastic. We really enjoyed Rustrel and the surrounding area. In addition to the great bakery in town, we liked Au Pierrot Blanc in Apt (lavender ice cream) and horseback riding at the Horse Farm De Joucas (beautiful trail rides through vineyards, lavender fields). There are so many great things to do nearby that it's hard to choose, though! We enjoyed all of the helpful recommendations from Gilles."

"We arrived at the location and found it in good condition with friendly hosts who were helpful and generous with there time as well allowing us to enjoy are holiday. The pool was fantastic and private and the placement of the property gives you fantastic access to the towns of Apt, Lourmarin and Bonnieux. We enjoyed some great food in the restaurants in all of these as well as travellling to Aix Provence for a little shopping. The facilities on site allowed us to have BBQs and cooking dinners...

"This is a glorious, quiet and serene property within 5 minutes walk uphill into the village. So calming and beautiful and several room options, although all upstairs. Great, large clean (unfenced) pool - so hypervigilance needed with small children. It was mid-summer hot and we think some room fans would be helpful as the automatic airconditioning was not quite adequate in the bedrooms. These are small criticisms of what is a magnificent holiday rental for a large group."

"Séjour très agréable au calme, à Bonnieux dans le Lubéron. La piscine permet de se rafraîchir après le tennis matinal. Le terrain mérite une petite réfection mais est largement suffisant pour un simple niveau de tennis ! La maison est excentrée de Bonnieux, et n'est pas recommandée pour les enfants en bas âge et les personnes à mobilité difficile (ce qui n'était pas notre cas !) Le jardin, les terrasses et la piscine sont ombragées, permettant ainsi de profiter au maximum des espaces...

"We had such a lovely peaceful 2 week stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the house, the grounds and the pool. The views across the Luberon are magnificent. Caroline, the host, and Alicia, who checked us in, were both very responsive to our questions. The nearest town is a short 5 minute drive (or 40 minute evening walk). It's also a great base for exploring the surrounding towns and villages and the stunning countryside.. Thank you"

"We loved staying at this amazing property. The hosts were very responsive over email and Juliette, the property manager, was very helpful getting us checked in and explaining everything about the villa. Everything was as described: the villa was very well equipped, clean and spacious. The location was perfect for us too (just off the D232), with a short drive to Bonnieux (and Lourmarin). We especially loved relaxing by the pool every day, and enjoyed the peace and quiet every night, sitting...

"Quand nous avons loué, nous voulions 1 piscine, un endroit tranquille pour nous et les 3 petits enfants ( 12 ans et 2 de 6) et profiter des visites. "This would be great for a get away from it all break. But it was too remote for us, so we ended up going to Cannes for 3 days! House was nice, couple of gripes Bedroom door did not close which was awkward as we stayed with friends. Lots of wasps so stung a few times but it’s the edge of a forest. Good points Nice outside area, good pool, well equipped kitchen and great little BBQ. About 10 mins in a car from shops and restaurants. Hotel was rarely open and hotel owner only spoke French so...

"The hotel is good and price is good. No issues with the parking at all.Good location.Only problem is very small pillows and as there is no reception on Saturday (after 1p.m.) and not at all on Sunday you cannot get any extra pillow. The cleaning staff does not speak English and cannot assist."

Difficulties upon arrival

"Turns out they were closed on the day of our checkin which we were not aware of. We tried to call and no one answered. We finally got a number for emergencies and he gave us the code to the safe with our key. When we got to the place they had not prepared at all. The beds were not made, there was no soap or cleaning items to towels yet checkout required us to wash dishes. The electricity was also off so we had to find the electrical box. The WiFi also didn’t work. When we tried to calll back the emergency number no one answered."

"The hotel was very close to the town center, very clean, with extremely friendly staff. The hotel also has a restaurant attached which was wonderful. We felt welcome from the moment we walked in. Even as two Americans who don’t speak any French, it felt as if we were visiting old friends. Highly recommend staying here"
