"It's a three star hotel not a five star. It's old and creaky, but the staff are wonderful, good food, superb location and clean, neat and very attentive/helpful staff. If you want luxury triple your investment and travel 15 miles from the city center. But for me, it was quite quaint. I will go there from now on."

"Advertising the hotel as pet-friendly and sneaking in a 15,90 EUR extra fee per night afterwards is outrageous. Total nightly fee of EUR 90 EUR for a quick driving pit stop is very poor value compared to other road hotels in France and Italy within a day's drive, which were both cheaper and much nicer (room, beds, bathrooms, surrounding areas...) The area was mediocre, the hotel is in a 'food/restaurant desert', the doors could only be closed by slamming them which meant overnight each time...

"The couple who run the hotel were very pleasant and tried to be helpful but a great shame we couldn't access the internet anywhere in the hotel, or indeed in a brasserie on the town square. Room was an odd shape and rather cramped. Bathroom needed some refurbishment. Quiet and okay for an overnight stop. Avoid the restaurant which was very reasonable but produced 2 meals which had dried out meat and inedible mushy vegetables."

"The staff are welcoming and attentive, I attempted to speak French and when in difficulty found English understood by several staff members. The food & drink quality cannot be faulted, the room and communal areas very clean, WiFi works well :)) On the downside, the bath has a tap with shower attachment but no shower curtain, water inevitably splashes into the bathroom and makes the floor slippy. There was a problem with the bill, additional alcoholic drinks we had not consumed, check your bill...
