"A lovely, cosy Alentejo style cottage situated in a rural area surrounded by vineyards, cork and olive trees. Everything was as described in the listing and the local property manager was lovely and made the check-in and check-out process seamless. A nice welcome basket was awaiting us of local wine, cheese and bread. Sadly, the view of the fields from the back patio was blocked by overgrown vegetation during our stay. "It was a great place in order to discover the beautiful areas of the region of Portugal. The village is very quiet and the people are charming, but the bakery opposite would bake in the evening which could mean smoke coming into garden if the wind was in the right direction. Despite this I would definitely stay again. Natalie was very good at arranging the pre-stay information. "

"We had an incredible stay in this lovely quiet village well away from the crowds of tourists. This gorgeous, large, cool, beautifully laid out house provided plenty of space for 8 people - 4 adults and 4 kids. "What an amazing time we had in Orvalhos! The house sits on a hill where it overlooks the Alentejo plaines. In the mornings , the sounds of bells and birds always made me happy. The locals are just as nice! The house was very clean and it had all we needed. We kept it warm by using the fireplace every evening. "Casa muito bonita, tipicamente alentejana, confortável, com tudo o que é necessário para passar um fim-de-semana ou até umas férias. Tudo como as fotografias mostram. Local muito tranquilo e fomos recebidos pela Paula que é extremamente simpática e prestável. Muito próximo existe um bar e restaurante e os donos também são muito simpáticos. Não chegamos a provar a comida. Para quem se desloca de carro, a casa fica muito bem localizada para conhecer várias cidades e vilas nas proximidades....

"We loved this home. It was clean, had all the amenities and located close to the centre of town. The pool and courtyard was exceptional. We spent all our spare time there. We did find the beds a little uncomfortable, but not bad enough to reduce our 5 star rating. We would definitely stay here again."
