"So, they did not inform us that parking is no longer free. A $10 charged showed up after checking out, when I called to ask why that is when I was informed it was for parking. They hotel seems to be breaking down. Water spots and wholes in ceiling where water must have leaked in past. Pool and hot tub needs a desperate cleaning. Also day of check out I reached behind night stan to find plug to plug in lights and I pulled out clothing from past guest. So room obviously was not cleaned thoroughly...

"After staying at other hotels in Rancho Cordova this time stayed at the Hawthorne. From the outside it did no look like much, but the minute you walk inside you can see things are getting better, yes some things still need repair and updating. This hotel is in the middle of refurbishment and this brings me great hope. The staff could not have been nicer. My room had new flooring , new bed, new couch and updated bathroom. A few nice touches are good wifi, many tv channels, even tea bags not...
