The staff at check-in was rude, and before I even checked in, they ignored me and my messages. the place was poorly kept, housekeeping did not clean the room, and all requests were ignored. The remote to the TV did not work for the volume. even for a cheap stay, this was sad.

This hotel REALLY wants to be a cool midtown hotel... unfortunately the fact that its cheap and in a bad area brings in guests who kind of wreck the rooms. :( Cute remodel on the rooms, but puncture marks on the blinds, cigarette burns everywhere, patched walls, dirty doorjambs, poor draining sink... you get the picture. Also, the shower water never quite really got hot and the pressure was bad. Bed was comfy, room was clean, and the staff was awesomely amazing, so I am giving it some stars! Would probably stay again if I needed a cheap stopove room while going through Sacramento.
