"Very old but beautiful place, a little scary because it is so old, clean, because the furniture is so old and dry it is not cofy . Friendly staff. Good breakfast but nothing exceptional. Worth the price. The only thing is if you have a lot of luggage or a very heavy suitcase do not choose the cella/room #1 suite because it has two large flights of stairs and the hotel obviously does not have an elevator. I recommend it to have an experience and not to stay for several days"

"I wanted a simple clean place to sleep, close to Siena station, as I was arriving late evening. The key was left in the door for me, my room has everything I needed, clean, comfortable bed, shower, but best of all it was SUPER quiet, I slept very well. The owner communicated with WhatsApp, and even recommended places to eat, I had a fantastic pizza 🍕 only a 10 minute walk away. This is good, basic accomodation and does exactly what it says. "Hotel staff reached out a few days before my check-in for my anticipated arrival time. The check-in was busy (two other groups arriving within 5 minutes), but they had adequate staff to provide us all prompt service which had been an issue with some prior hotel/car bookings. I’m conversational w/Italian but the host also spoke excellent English. "Did not realize that the shared bathroom was for all rooms in the hotel not just two adjoining rooms. Quite a hike up the the floor the hotel is located on. Otherwise we found the facilites very clean and the staff ere very helpful and courteous. Location was excellent and our overall experience very positive."

"This place is amazing! The views are spectacular. The room was perfect and the grounds are exactly what you’d expect for Tuscany. The owner is on hand at all times and is very friendly and accommodating. Our flight was delayed and we didn’t get in until midnight. He stayed up for us and talked us through the directions there. You do need a car if you’re staying here since there is no public transportation. "

"The property was nicely decorated and within walking distance of the major attractions in Siena. Not sure if it is an Italian thing, but, the ones we have stayed at don’t provide soap for showering. Only downside, and that is not too important. "

"The owners are amazing. The room was clean, the breakfast was always fresh and homemade. We used the covered outdoor seating area every afternoon to enjoy a bottle of wine and take in the SPECTACULAR view. Anna even shared her delicious Torte recipe with us and we cannot wait to try and replicate when we get home. "

"We have travelled extensively through Europe for the past 2 years and the Villa del Sole has to be one of the best and amazing hotel we have ever stayed in. Staff was sooooooo friendly and helpful. Even showed us the easiest and best way to get to the Piazza del Campo without going up and down the hills, lol. Breakfast was great, good selection. The best, mind blowing view of Siena you will find. We want to thank everyone for the friendly and generous service that was offered. We are definitely coming back! "
