City Art Hotel Silberstein

4.0 star property
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (33)
"Cute room in a converted turn-of-the-century home. The owner is sweet and staff are on hand to make breakfast for you between 6:30 and 9:00 am (you just need to tell them when you will be awake). We were able to arrange for transport to and from the hotel. Nice decorative touches throughout the home and a lovely garden. Small downsides: 1. The room we were in had stains on the carpet and mildew in the shower -- both things that can be fixed, and weren't overwhelming negative factors. 2. I...

Casa Gangotena

4.5 star property
9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, (84)
"The Casa Gangotena was perfection! The hotel itself is beautiful and the staff was gracious and attentive. We stayed in a very comfortable, large room with a spectacular view of the Plaza de San Francisco. We enjoyed breakfast and a wonderful dinner at the hotel and loved that the menu included local cuisine. Plus, the prices were reasonable - we would have easily paid twice as much at home for a meal of the same caliber. You also shouldn't miss a late afternoon cocktail on the rooftop!"

Hacienda Rumiloma

5.0 star property
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (63)
"Failed to show up for airport transfer to property. We got a taxi that got lost then was unable to climb the mountain due to their road conditions. We had to climb the mountain by foot to attempt to check in but the staff had already left for the evening and failed to respond when we continued to ask for assistance. Our flight arrived at midnight and at 2am my family was still not sure where we would be staying the next 3 days/nights. Taxi driver was awesome and found us a safe place to rest...

Marquiz Hotel Boutique

3.5 star property
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (67)
"This place is horrible. Reviews seem to be super old, and there may have been a time where the hotel was great, but this time around it was horrible. - Overpriced to what you get - NO hot water - Barely working shower head - Dirty sheets - Unbearable concierge, that closes the outside doors with a lock, forcing me to wake him up when I came back after a party on Saturday night. He also clearly expressed that I bothered him. - Expressed all the above and they answered "it is what it is". - They...

Hotel Casa Gardenia

3.5 star property
9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (352)
"We loved Casa Gardenia, especially the kindness and friendliness of the family proprietors. We had a morning checkout prior to a midnight flight back to the US, but when I felt ill later (altitude plus maybe some suspect shrimp at dinner), they lent me a room, gratis, to lie down in all afternoon while the others went out in search of the Basilica and artisanal chocolate. Throughout our stays (we were here two weeks earlier on our way to the Galapagos), they were friendly, welcoming, and...
