We understood there were steps, however the first 23 steps from parking to the cabin were narrow and a bit steep. Our stay was during the fall, so while the weather was as expected (rainy and cold most days), we experienced multiple weather conditions daily and loved the beautiful, peaceful views we enjoyed every single day! It’s an hour away from Mount Rainier however this is where you want to be especially during the busy months when the cars are lined up to Ashford. We enjoyed the privacy, fires in the evening after a long hike and our kids loved going home to Carlos and the cute cows. We had deers and elk visiting one night also.
