"We had a lovely stay in the tiny village of Orsans. I stayed with 11 friends (mainly couples) in July and we couldn't have enjoyed it more. The village is a short car journey to Carcassonne, which we visited for an afternoon though the heat cut out trip short. "Beautiful holiday home in gorgeous remote unspoilt village. The perfect getaway whilst still within easy reach of the incredible cities of Carcassonne and Miripoix. Warm and friendly hosts with owner living close by. 3 storey accommodation well equipped for the 6 of us plus toddler. The mountain breeze welcome relief to combat the 36 degree heat. "The apartments are nice but the hotel is located at the junction of two mountain rivers which are very noisy. The internet said that the hotel had 24hr reception but it is only open for limited hours and closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The hotel swimming pool was also closed for the first part of our visit. Probably all this was incorporated into the price we paid but the advertising didn't state it."
