The Breakfast Attendant was so personable and worked constantly keeping a well- stocked hot breakfast along with many cold options like cereal, yogurt and fruit. "This has become my family’s go to stop when traveling south from Buffalo. They offer large rooms for more than 4 people. Nice pool, great breakfast. The staff is always friendly. Late checkout time, if you aren’t in a rush to your next destination. "

"Red Bird Cottage is nestled in the small town of Athens, WV. Located not far from I-77 the location was ideal for visiting my son at Concord University. Basic businesses in Athens, Dollar General, Post Office, CVS and a park all within walking distance or a 5 minute drive. Eating establishments limited however Princeton,WV is a quick 15 minute drive. Red Bird Cottage was charming, extremely clean, and Anita was just as sweet. Not shown in the picture is the amazing fire pit and the adorable squirrel we saw every morning. The road isn’t traveled much so it does have a quiet atmosphere. The added gate on the deck is a nice touch and comfort if you’re traveling with your pet. No detail was missed. "
