"This has to be called a hidden gem, the most passionate and welcoming owner Paul, what a genuine lovely guy, the room was impeccably clean, it felt like I was in my own home, the standard of decor is above and beyond what you would expect, I was even shown a family room which was stunning! I have found myself a new retreat in will be back soon. This will also be passed to my work colleagues and friends. "I stayed in the single room which was the same size as a double room. It was comfortable, cosy , clean , nicely decorated and well furnished.There's parking out front but that was taken but I easily parked outside.breakfast was cooked to order and very tasty. Small gripes,the room was warm but bathroom wasn't and the TV wasn't HD."

"Only a very very VERY slight criticism. The staff in the pub, when you check in, should explain where the entrance to the chapel is. "

"Had another great stay here. Came to watch Liverpool vs Man City and love how close to Anfield this is. I have stayed here everytime I come to Liverpool to watch football and I will continue coming here for every game I come and see. "

"We went for new year but the weather was bad so we stayed local. Nice lounge downstairs but we had Lovely comfortable room so we went to bed early. Sue was wonderful so friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was really good with great choices and wonderfully cooked. There is free parking not too far away if you look for it. We certainty will return in better weather."
