"Because of the name Ocean Resort, we actually thought we would see the ocean from the resort. The shower/tub was difficult to enter and exit. The tub was slippery. It needs a mat for better balance and safety. The bed was uncomfortable. The pillows for us were too big and lumpy. The heavy comforter was too heavy and hot. We didn’t use the air, and as such the heavy comforter wasn’t used. There needs to be an extra lighter blanket for use. We look for a trash can and only found a very...

"Super chill spot. Great place for adults wanting to getaway yet also very family friendly - two connected pools, hot tub and beach water front. They have Pool tables, foosball and arcade games. Bartenders are very friendly - one in particular customizes drinks from local fruit!!! Super delicious. Would stay here again. They also free parking which was a huge plus since most places charge daily - it isn’t covered and they have a lot of birds, your car may be covered in bird droppings - other than that we were able to find a spot at all hours of the day. "

"We enjoyed the beautiful view from our balcony, maybe that was the VIP status, but it was perfect for our family. We loved the location, private beach for sunrise walks and the staff was awesome for check in, offering suggestions and providing beach chairs and an umbrella. The location was better than expected with walking distance to everything even a Jojo’s shaved ice and tons of restaurants. I’d prefer to stay here for a more laid back local feel than in Poipu with every tourist at the beach. "

"I enjoyed my stay at the Aston Islander. The property is well maintained and right on the ocean. There are number of dining and shopping options within walking distance. I especially liked the Happy hour at the bar by the pool — good place to talk to fellow travelers. The room itself was in pretty good shape but could use some touch up paint. The bed could have been better located — it was directly under the AC unit. Overall, I recommend and I’d stay here again. "

"The property delivered well on the owner’s promises: spectacular views and everything that tickles your fancy within reach.From the balcony, the condo offers an unobstructed view of the ocean. A slight breeze invites you out on to the beach. To the north of the condo you’ll find bars and restaurants, to the south you’ll find plenty of open space and opportunities to dip your toes in the water. We did our best to take advantage of the condo’s central location: local hiking (Hoopii Falls was particularly beautiful), golf at Wailua, even made the short drive to check out the Napali Cliffs. This location is definitely on the short list for our next vacation."
