"Its a hidden gem. The place is peaceful, clean and welcoming. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are decorated simply with intent. Very comfortable and great environment. Although there is construction nearby, as it is everywhere in Tamarindo, it didn't affect my stay. All of the rooms thoughtfully include a noise machine and electronic blackout shades. "Hotel is well maintained. Rooms are so small that there is no room for your luggage or chair to sit in. They post that the room will sleep four. No way. These are full size beds because two queen size beds would leave even less room. They gave us two rooms overlooking the busy road all the while we were the only guest. The motorcycles without mufflers were the worst. Why they chose to not but us in quieter rooms that were available is reason enough for me to not recommend staying here."

"Casa Mapache is a lovely place managed by lovely people. The spacious, clean room had a king size bed and two twin beds, which was perfect for our family of four with two "tween" boys who don't want to share a bed if they don't have to! "We very much enjoyed our stay at the Blue House. It is small, but had every thing we needed and It sits on a beautiful and quiet beach. Surrounding area is very friendly. "Well kept colonial townhouse 5 min walk from the beach. Traveled with toddlers, so walking to the beach or up to the pool was a bit of a challenge. There’s some noise from the road, but we used WN to sleep, so didn’t really notice. The facilities are great, house had everything we needed. Would stay again."

Planet Hollywood Costa Rica, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort

"We were a little hesitant about booking the Planet Hollywood hotel because we were worried it might be too "gimmicky" and we wouldnt get a good vibe for the culture and country. It was awesome- far exceeded our expectations. The resort was smaller, but all the staff got to know us, were super friendly and wabted to make sure we had an amazing experience. They had a lot of restaurant options, and the food was DELICIOUS. We have been to a few all-inclusive resorts before, and this one had the beat food by far. They have a coffee shop with freshe coffee, pastries and ice cream. The buffet was expansive with a lot of options, and the dinner restaurants were incredible. We had lunch by the pool at the burger bar often, as they always had entertainment happening dueing the day by the pool or at night in the main building- we were never bored! It was wonderful for our teenage daughters to be able to wander by themselves and we didn't feel nervous for their safety. We would definitely reccomend it to anyone, and we hope to come back! "
