"We had a great time, and with a few minor fixes, this will be a fantastic place to stay. The location was just right for us: a 15 minute walk to the beach, a 10 minute walk to Harris Teeter. Nice, quiet street, easy access to drive to various destinations. The house is a great space for a family, with a large living room, which was a little echo-y and could use an area rug and some wall coverings like tapestries to make it a little less reverberant. Big beautiful kitchen. Upstairs tub/shower...

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, with two exceptions: plumbing may need redoing - clanky pipes, slow to get hot water for showers, and low water pressure if running washing machine; and, coffeemaker had old, moldy and very smelly used grounds left in it. My daughterspent about an hour cleaning the coffeemaker with vinegar and soap and water. Beds very comfortable, porches much appreciated, as was the fireplace. Thank you for sharing this beautiful house with us!"

"Our stay was okay. The house was in an excellent location to the beach, however very difficult to find from the road. The house was a great size & the beds were so comfortable. I rate this with a 3 because I felt like there were several things that desperately need updated. The faucets in the bathroom were heavily rusted and leaking. "The house is a great location just a few things we did not like, the water pressure is not great. There are no places in the bathroom or your bedroom to hang a hand towels, wash cloths or bathtowels. Very few dishes."

"The house was well suited for our reunion of ODU college roommates. It is a quick drive to ODU and there are restaurants and a grocery store close by. Cheree was very responsive in answering questions and providing assistance. "

"Perfect house - no issues at all. Beautiful home in excellent condition. Host was a joy to work with. Very comfortable beds, clean, great location. Would absolutely come back again."

"The property is a few blocks off the beach providing easy access to shops and restaurants on the boardwalk. With the exception of a moldy shower curtain in the upstairs bathroom, the condo interior was very clean and well maintained. While the kitchen is a nice size, there could be a few more plates and bowls available for use. It is also worth pointing out that, 21 1/2 street is a narrow alley with very limited space making it extremely tough to get in and out of the parking area. "

"The property was spacious and in a great location for our group of 14. The private beach was amazing! We rented both sides of the duplex, which was convenient as they share a backyard. One unit had a non-functioning refrigerator, but the owner responded promptly. After confirming it couldn't keep food cold, he replaced it the next day. Which required us to have to buy several bags of ice to keep food cold. Unfortunately, the dryer in the same unit also wasn't working and needed replacement,...

"Our stay at Meadowlard was fantastic! The property was exactly as depicted in the listing and most importantly, CLEAN. The place is especially great for those with kids. There is a large outdoor area to enjoy and no stairs inside the unit to worry about. Harris Teeter is right around the corner and the beach is a short walk from the property. Property manager was extremely responsive. We will definitely stay here again! "

"This house was perfect for our extended family vacation. The house is very old but the owners made a lot very nice improvements. You can tell there are more things to do though. Communication was not that great but they were very nice when we did hear from them. Super easy check in"
