"I planned on spending my birthday in happy valley and searched all over for a place, then I found Lakewood cottage. I talked it over with the other couple that came with and it was an easy yes for the 4 of us. The place wasn’t far from the stadium and easy to get to. It was clean and tidy and overall an amazing stay for the weekend. We would definitely stay here again."

"Outstanding beds, great place for a peaceful, relaxing space just outside of State College. Will be on our list for future visits as it was a great place for peace, quiet, and rest in the woods! Wonderful communication and a great experience. "

"Property was very clean and very quiet. Only a few problems….the toilet seat was broken, they didn’t provide enough toilet paper and paper towels (luckily we had our own) and they didn’t provide dish towels to dry dishes. Also be warned that there is no AC, but they do provide a fan. Overall though, good unique experience. "

"Great property, great stay at a very nice cottage. We visited for the weekend for Penn State’s homecoming. Close to the stadium, easy access to I-99 and plenty of food options w/in 3 miles. Two bedrooms w/king size beds and a couch w/a trundle. Very comfortable w/TV, patio, firepit, and charcoal grill. The worse part of the weekend was the non-stop rain on game day."

"This is a remodeled small home up against a mountain near the river. Serene view of water from porch. Right next to a 2 lane road. Can get some busy moments of automobiles. The owners do make efforts to provide a comfortable stay with linens, hair dryers, soaps, signage, tv. All noted in listing. Very easy to communicate with them. "
