"Very clean and comfortable and close to supermarket and coffee shops and takeaways. Walking distance from town. Sometimes a little noise from commercial unit next door but not unacceptable "

"Great place with beautiful views and lovely nature sounds to wake up to in the morning. Little bit tough to get to if you’re planning on walking into town. "

"I really enjoy this cottage....it is clearly loved, and has survived since 1905..through earthquakes etc. It has a wonderful history, is totally private..and is like a quaint country cottage, in the middle of the city. It has all the facilities you might need. Plus an outside bath....fabulous!"

"the house is small but can fit in with my family. the host replied promptly and solved with all the enquires. only sad thing is the washing machine is too old the clothes left lots of powder after wash. overrall good ."

"Extremely well appointed property with every need catered for."

"Outside windows were stained and covered with cobwebs, gatden needs some trimming so you can enjoy the view. No wifi network at all. Cobwebs and spiders all through the inside and very dusty. Sticky surfaces. This place really needed a good clean. Location was beautiful and only took a small walk to get into town. We had booked for two nights but only atayed one. Definitely wish we had booked somewhere else."

"Well appointed accommodation, has everything and being winter very cosy with having the heating throughout. Would like to stay here again if we return to Akaroa."

"Such a stunning view!! I could have sat in the spa soaking that in all day, especially when the sun is shining across the bay! The house is a perfect size for 2 adults with all that is needed to cook and have a few days out of the hustle and bustle. Akaroa is close by and there are plenty of great cafes and bars to eat at a short 10 min drive away."

"We enjoyed our stay in the property. It was well equipped, had very comfortable beds, and was in a good location. Bachcare, the agent, were responsive, when required. The only negatives were the intermittent hot water in the shower (everywhere else the hot water was fine) and the very neglected garden area."

"Great views of Akaroa and very handy to township. Living areas too small or 4 adults and 2 children."

"Clean, tidy and warm house, that gave our family enough room to be together and separate as needed. Short walks to shops and the waterfront, so well situated. There were a couple of things we missed that I thought would be standard, like dishcloths and a coffee plunger in the kitchen (we bought one), and games/jigsaws in the living room. Can I also suggest a refresh of the dreadful artwork in the house, which is reminiscent of garage sale leftovers; and that the very scruffy garden swing seat be...

"Beautiful location with privacy. So many birds with fruit trees and flowers. Short walk to the bay and dock area for beach combing and bird watching. Locals were so kind. Full kitchen with great storage. Washing clothes was wonderful with a clothes line and pins. Wonderful breeze with lots of doors and windows to open. "
