"We had an incredible weekend in Cape Charles at Drop Anchor. We've been renting places in CC for the past 10 years, and this was the cleanest and most well-appointed home we've ever rented. My husband and I invited 4 friends to CC for the weekend bc they had never been, and they fell in love with everything! The golf cart was amazing, and we had the best time. "We never got to stay at the property because Expedia never posted the booking and it is impossible to contact Expedia to resolve any type of issue. I wouldn't recommend that anyone use that site to book a reservation. We were traveling and was 3 hours from home and was turned away from the resort because Expedia had not given the information to the resort. We had to find last minute accommodation and are still trying tl get our money back. "

" The location was great if you want a quiet place and close to the river. We enjoyed walking down to edge and watching the water. We also enjoyed walking around the neighborhood. The camper was very clean. Kimberly and her husband were very nice and helped with the few little problems that we had. We really enjoyed our stay there."

"We loved our stay. We were looking for somewhere away from the chaos of holiday in Williamsburg but accessible. It fit perfectly. House was quiet, clean and comfortable. Made for a wonderful weekend. "

"We picked this location given friends live nearby, but it exceeded expectations. Beautiful view, incredible sunrise, and the kids loved the fireplace. Hadn't realized the kids bunk room doesn't have a door to close, but luckily noise wasn't a problem. "

"Great property. Pool, hot tub and a very challenging mini putt-putt course. Furniture is in good shape and comfortable. One of the bedrooms has an adjustable bed ( same model as I have at home) so that was a very nice and welcomed surprise. We have ongoing business in the area so looking forward to staying here in the future. "

"Our stay was okay. The house was in an excellent location to the beach, however very difficult to find from the road. The house was a great size & the beds were so comfortable. I rate this with a 3 because I felt like there were several things that desperately need updated. The faucets in the bathroom were heavily rusted and leaking. When taking a shower, our faucet diverter broke so we werent able to take a shower the last day of our stay. There is not much of an ocean view as there is a lot of...

"This house was perfect for our extended family vacation. The house is very old but the owners made a lot very nice improvements. You can tell there are more things to do though. Communication was not that great but they were very nice when we did hear from them. Super easy check in"

"This was a great space for our family to take a quick trip before heading back to school! We had six teenagers and seven adults and there was plenty of room for everyone! The beach was great, and only a hop, skip, and jump from the house. Close to grocery stores, Walmart, and Target. And we found an amazing seafood house, Surf Rider, just down the road at the marina. Would definitely stay again!"

"Had a great time at the strand. Property was immaculate and as advertised. The included golf carts are a huge bonus and it’s nice to not have a hidden $650 “host fee” like most other properties on here. Will be back for sure. "

"We had such a wonderful time! The location was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. The house was very comfortable and clean making it easy to just relax. Note to future renters - the property and it's amenities have been greatly loved. "Overall we really enjoyed our stay at this location. I’ll start with the cons because there is really only one. Steps. In the pictures you may think you are entering on the ground floor. Oh buddy would you be wrong. The entrance is on the third floor. Which means steps. Soooooo many steps. Then when you get inside it is a split level floor plan so steps up to the living room and steps down to the bedrooms, bathrooms. The outdoor patio in the pictures is accessible but it is on the first floor...
