"Ideally located if you want to climb up the Florence Dome in the early morning. It is only two minutes away from the entrance gate. The staff was very kind and helpful. I heartily recommend you this guest house. Just keep in mind that they do not have an elevator (a lift). So you need to go up the stairs before getting to the front desk. "

"What an excellent stay. The palazzo was the highlight of my trip. The hotel is beautiful old world Italian classic but chic style. Each room is beautifully decorated. I was in the blue room. The dining room always has snacks, and water, along with the living room areas. The service was impeccable. Morning breakfast tailored to your needs.The location is on point, smack in the middle of town."

"Walking distance from all shops and main city attractions. Very safe. You can hear all the noise from people going in and out since it’s an old structure but very secure and easy to get to everywhere within walking distance. Nice RR and great AC. "

"Our room was large, and the staff was friendly and helpful. It is a quick walk over the bridge to the heart of Florence, and there are many good dining options nearby."

"The hostess at this hotel was the best! She was so helpful and kind. The room was quaint and had a wood ceiling and wood beam, which gave it lots of character. We had a private bathroom that was down 5 steps which was a little tricky to use. It was an older bathroom and had a few small issues. The hotel was about 5-10 minute walk from the train station which made it really convenient for dropping off our luggage before exploring Florence. Our hostess provided a delicious breakfast for us."

"Check in was a puzzle!! I felt safe afterwards because there were so many steps, phone call, text, locks and keys. You will be safe during a riot or zombie apocalypse. No one can get in. There is no staff. There is no services. It would be considered a luxury if there was staff and services. "The hotel was located on a quiet street on the perimeter of the central historic where sites such as the Duomo and the Ufizi are found. We loved the location as it was quiet and only a 5 minute walk to excellent restauants and 10 minutes to the historic central. The hotel has a nice blend of traditional and modern decor. The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful in providing restaurant recommendations. Our garden-view room was much larger than we typically have seen in hotels in Italy. Orto De Medici is a well-priced gem. "
