"Lovely big room, just really cold. Thankfully there was an oil radiator, but as it was missing its dial, it was difficult to figure out how to turn it up. Friendly staff. Nice stay, good value"

"The spindrift guest house is excellent you get met at the door by the hosts Mark and Jeni, who make you feel so welcome like your part of the family. They show you around the breakfast room and the lounge . The rooms are big and comfy thw whole place is spotless. Breakfast is amazing and you pick what you want from a changing menu daily which is finished off with homade loaf from Jeni we had banana loaf this morning which was still warm. "Cozy and friendly , nice, cooked to order breakfast. A bit of a trek into city centre , bus is infrequent. I would however stay again and recommend."

"It's a student hall of residence so amenities and decor are very basic as expected, but you can't complain for the price, especially in the centre of St. Andrews in high season! A bargain really. Minor gripes - the shared bathroom(s) have very loud electric hand dryers that sound like a vacuum cleaner and can be heard several rooms away.. The lights in the corridors and bathrooms are extremely bright, in the blueish spectrum and permanently on, so not conducive to maintaining melatonin levels if...

"Fantastic welcome from Sam the host. Great breakfast, really appreciated the fruit salad, that was a nice surprise! Very nice comfortable room and just a short walk from town. Great recommendations of pubs/restaurants and the discounts are a nice touch. WiFi reception could be improved but it was sufficient to get some work done in the evening. I will definitely stay again when back in the area."
