"The staff were absolutely excellent. The only disappointment was no bar in the hotel. My fault fornot reading the details properly but I have never known a hotel at this level to not have a bar or allow drinking alcohol by the pool or in reception. They decorated the room for my girlfriends birthday without me even telling them and the porters were very helpful as well"

"The Carlton is a wonderful hotel. The property looks very new. It’s is a busy part of town (isn’t everything in Bangkok the same though) very close to 2 big malls. Enough shopping and casual dining around. We had 2 Deluxe rooms and they were great. At checkin time, I asked the lady at the checkin counter about upgraded rooms. She said most rooms were about the same and suggested that an upgrade was not worth it. The beds, bathroom and decor is just like room pictures on the website. Spacious, new modern look and clean The pool area on the 10th floor is very relaxing with a view of the city. Large infinity pool, gym and separate steam, sauna rooms for men and women. I highly recommend trying out the buffet breakfast. Very good quality and variety of continental, Thai, Japanese and Chinese items on the menu. We enjoyed our 3 day stay thoroughly and would definitely stay here again "
