"Arrived after dark, but lobby area and room was clean. What little I saw of the outside seemed to be presentable as well. The only downside was the lack of signage directing you to the front door. Two semis were parked outside blocking a clear view of the front entrance. "

"I don’t even know where to start. Literally can’t say enough good things! I usually tent camp while hiking in the area, but wanted a place for the cold & rainy months. My dogs travel with me & finding this gem that is pet friendly made me so HAPPY! It is absolutely perfect in every way! You are right in the middle of the forest & there are so many awesome trails within 20 minutes- that’s initially what got me there. With rainy days in the forecast I began to research the area more. You are 20 minutes from Decatur, just less than an hour from Huntsville & Jasper & there are SO MANY quaint small towns nearby. Lots of history, art, museums, architecture, shopping & places to buy local goods! The cabin was super clean! Leah, the host is hands down the best! She really went out of her way to ensure everything is top notch, super responsive and offered so much helpful information. The cabin is incredibly well stocked & has so many extra amenities. The owners love this place & it truly shows throughout each room with the meaningful details. The property & grounds are very well kept and groomed. Awesome hot shower with great water pressure, comfy bed and super soft sheets & blankets! It was a major decision each night on whether we wanted to enjoy the views around the fire pit or soak in the hot tub. Very quiet, peaceful & a great place to disconnect then reconnect. Look for ducks on the pond and be sure to check out the view behind the home up the hill. Definitely will be back! "
